1-  Colin Krawchuk returns with Jester 2, the latest installment in his growing horror franchise. Counting the three short films that dropped almost a decade ago, this marks the fifth entry featuring the sinister Trickster. Unlike the previous feature-length film, Krawchuk steers this sequel back toward the tone and texture of the original shorts, leaner, stranger, and more focused on unsettling atmosphere. The result is a movie that feels both familiar and experimental, one that hardcore fans will dissect while newcomers may find themselves startled by its bold changes.

2- What makes Jester 2 stand out is its willingness to deviate from the groundwork laid in the first feature. The decision to dig into the Trickster’s origins is a risky one. For many horror fans (myself included), too much explanation can spoil the mystique. The aura of the Trickster-the not knowing what he is or why he does what he does was part of the appeal. Here, Krawchuk tries to balance that unknown with a new layer of supernatural backstory. Not everyone will love it, but it’s certainly ambitious.
