1- Bommai Nayagi backed Pa. Ranjith once again deals with a sensitive case involving a 9 year old and how a caste oppressed common man learns to fight back for his daughter. Yogi Babu’s character is well established and he easily gets into this character. The way the first half progresses with a touch of realism and the people who are willing accept the societal norms even if it’s oppressive. The film’s novelty lies in showing such a person despite the rich misusing the law, learning to fight his way in getting the justice his daughter deserve.

2- The narrative is infact slow paced and even dull. As realistic the director wants to approach this, the intent is right in still showing the positive outcome to spread that hope. Otherwise, justice for such helpless people remains unreachable. The attempt is not to trivialize the case and it shows. The last 20mins however is what raises the story with that twist. The bold move to get justice though filmy, worked well.
