1- Harry Pearce (Peter Firth) is the head of the counter-terrorism department in MI-5. His group is transporting terrorist Adem Qasim (Elyes Gabel) to the CIA when they are caught in a traffic jam. Motorcyclists ride up and force Pearce to release Qasim. Pearce disappears and Will Holloway (Kit Harington) is recalled from Moscow to find him. Pearce reveals to Holloway that he suspects someone higher up helped Qasim escape and is trying to bring down MI-5.

2- This is a movie sequel to a BBC TV series. It struggles to fill the big screen with some action pieces but it is a TV movie at its heart. There is simple writing that is more aligned with simplistic pulpy espionage fare. Peter Firth reprises his role and he looks comfortable in it. Kit Harington brings his matinée good looks. For fans of the TV series, this would be a good watch. I only saw a few series 1 episodes and this would be fine as an hour-long TV episode.
